Ribbon – What we do
Ribbon works in many areas and with people from varied industries. Ribbon provides relief, maintenance, and relaxation to muscles through the use of massage.
Remedial therapy involves deep massage by a trained therapist to create the conditions necessary for the body to return to normal health after injury and for body muscle maintenance. Remedial therapy is performed on the entire body using various techniques to work muscles, tendons and soft tissue when they become tense, immobile or impaired. Impairment can be caused through many activities such as but not limited to; sports, posture (ergonomics at work) and overuse.
The techniques used vary from person to person and may be gentle, strong, deep or shallow depending on the outcome of a client assessment. Stretching may also be prescribed to maintain or encourage body health.
Once the discomfort is traced back to its source, healing can commence and a treatment plan is usually developed to ensure the quickest recovery in the shortest period of time.
Relaxation therapy uses soft gentle strokes to encourage muscle relaxation and blood flow. A relaxation massage is recommended to assist in relief from stress, muscle soreness and is best used as a gift of wellbeing for you or another. See our page dedicated to relaxation for more information.
